Mark Cain – Project Manager

Mark has extensive experience in managing multitask complex remediation projects such as remediation of the Colmslie bulk fuel terminal, the emergency clean-up of a heavily contaminated spill site at Algester, remediation of a Darwin ex-bulk fuel terminal, and various land farming projects in the Cooper Basin.

Specialising in contaminated soil remediation for over 20 years, Mark's project management experience has seen him working for companies such as Santos, BP, Exxon Mobil, Caltex, and APA.

Mark is continually seeking new and innovative approaches to his industry, investing in new equipment and technologies, while seeking more sustainable solutions. He has a track record of overcoming difficult projects by using innovative approaches, advanced remediation technology and efficient service delivery methods that return value to his clients.

Kathy Cain – General Manager

With over 20 years of management experience in industries known for precision and reliability, Kathy ensures that Aussie Enviro delivers seamless service for your excavation and environmental remediation needs. Drawing on her extensive background with renowned companies like Flight West, Qantas, and Queensland Pacific, she brings a unique blend of organisational expertise and customer-centric leadership to the team.

Kathy is dedicated to making your project a success, ensuring your operations run smoothly, your deadlines are met, and the resources you need - are available. She oversees our Operations team to ensure we deliver professional, reliable, and efficient solutions tailored to your needs. She constantly seeks innovative ways to enhance service delivery, streamline processes, and achieve results that exceed your expectations.

Willy Van Vaerenbergh – Contaminated Land Practitioner

Willy is a contaminated land practitioner and hydrogeologist with 30 years' experience. Willy is recognised by the QLD Contaminated Land Auditors and the Department of environment and Science as a Suitably Qualified Person (SQP) in accordance with Section 564 of the Environmental Protection Act 1994.

Willy has acted as SQP on numerous significant remediation projects and focused on facilitating an informed, practical and efficient approach to managing contamination. Willy has extensive experience on major projects based in South East Queensland, South Australia, New South Wales and Northern Queensland.

Lee Musgrave – QHSE Coordinator

Lee is our Administrator and qualified QHSE Coordinator for Aussie Enviro. Lee has managed the QHSE management system since the system was implemented in 2009, attending various workshops, client reviews/audits and International Standard recertification audits.

Lee has worked as an Administrator for Aussie Enviro for the past 17 years, ensuring customer satisfaction, compliance with all on-site requirements and management of project documentation from start to finish.

Reece Cain – Remediation Supervisor and Heavy Vehicle Operator

Reece oversees Aussie Enviro’s operations in the Cooper Basin, managing projects ranging from small to large-scale site remediation, civil works, and general earthworks. Currently completing his final year of a Bachelor of Business at Griffith University, majoring in Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Reece combines academic knowledge with practical expertise.

With over six years of experience at Aussie Enviro, Reece has refined his project management skills through comprehensive training and hands-on application. Under the mentorship of his father, Mark Cain, Reece has built a strong foundation in client relations, site supervision, and project development.

Reece’s dedication, proactive mindset, and can-do attitude make him a highly valued member of the Aussie Enviro team and a trusted leader in the field.

Dale Edwards – Operator Team Leader

With over 30 years’ experience in the Building and Construction Industry, Dale is our Operator Team Leader and Machine Operator for our civil construction projects in Brisbane.

An excellent communicator, Dale brings a wealth of knowledge to our business, with extensive experience in swimming pool construction, major civil works construction in roads, storm water pits and culverts, kerb and channel, trenching and pipeline installation, foundation preparation, concrete footpaths and pedestrian ramps.

Dale is not afraid of hard work and is a keen team member who will happily lend his hand to anything. His attention to detail, positive and bubbly attitude makes him an excellent asset to our team.

Billy Cain – Machine Operator

Taking the knowledge and experience he learnt from his father, Mark Cain, Billy is one of our star operators who has gained an extensive skill base for civil works projects in Brisbane. Billy is our dedicated operator for geotechnical and environmental excavation services in Brisbane, working for Aussie Enviro for over 6 years.

Billy’s earthmoving career started by working on FIFO projects in the Cooper Basin. He gained the necessary skills and experience to operate various types of earthmoving equipment, providing him with the confidence to work on his own for civil and geotechnical companies in Brisbane.

Billy is valued member of our team, bringing a positive and caring attitude, ensuring he provides the best service possible.

Lisa Twohig – Operations Project Administrator

Lisa brings over 20 years of administration and project management in the construction industry to Aussie Enviro. She manages the administration of our day to day operations for the Brisbane region.

Lisa’s experience includes working with Brisbane City Council and Transport and Main Roads. She is dedicated to delivering a responsive, professional, and friendly service, ensuring projects run smoothly and making Aussie Enviro the go-to choice for excavator hire in the Brisbane area.
